Lugt Lisianthus has been a family business since 1920 and they have been growing Lisianthus for over 25 years. They are located in the Dutch town of Monster. The most important varieties are Alissa and Rosita. In recent years, Lugt Lisianthus have invested a lot in increasing quality and making cultivation more sustainable. They strive to have the most beautiful flowers, the sturdiest stems, the highest number of buds per stem and deliver it all in a responsible way!

The team at Lugt Lisianthus love nature. That’s not surprising, considering the inherent beauty of the Lisianthus itself. Naturally, Corporate Social Responsibility and achieving a truly circular way of working are high priorities. They are always innovating, searching for the latest and greatest technologies and discoveries that improve the cultivation of Lisianthus in one way or another.

The greenhouse and shed at Lugt Lisianthus were built according to the latest insights into modern and responsible growing. Their lisianthus flowers are grown following the principles of “Het Nieuwe Telen” and all the CO2 they produce is used as food for the plants. Lugt Lisianthus even purchase extra CO2, which also reduces emissions from other companies. They also use LED bulbs, which uses less electricity, but at the same time provide more light. In addition, the bulbs themselves last longer and therefore need to be replaced less often, and the pink light they produce is better for the growth of the Lisianthus.
