Over 40 years of experience
Hamifleurs B.V. was founded by Hans Zwemstra and Michel Vijverberg in 1976, when they started exporting cut flowers and pot plants to France. Italy and various other countries were to follow quickly.
Plant activities demerged
In 1981, Paul Franke started working for the company. When Hans Zwemstra died, Paul took over this place on the Board. Five years later, in 1986, the plant activities would be demerged into a separate limited liability company: Hamiplant, enabling further specialisation.
Dutch Flower Group
In 1994, a collaboration was started with the Van Duyn Group, which merged with the OZ van Zijverden Groep from Aalsmeer in 1999. Since then, we have been known as Dutch Flower Group.
Meanwhile, Hamifleurs exports fresh cut flowers all over the world. A striking feature of our activities is that both sourcing and sales, financial administration, internal logistics, HR, quality affairs, and digitization are all carried out within the company itself.
In November 2001, Hamifleurs moved to Trade Parc Westland, adjacent to the FloraHolland flower auction. There, we share a building with other Dutch Flower Group companies. The building is fully conditioned and fitted with a modern logistics system.
CEO Paul Franke and CFO Michel Vijverberg resigned from the Board on 1 March 2011. They were replaced by Cor van Staalduinen as CEO (previously Logistics Manager) and Edwin Beekman as CFO. On 1 May 2018, Cor resigned and Edwin became CEO.
