Van der Ende Flowers is a true family company run by brothers Gerard, Martijn and Sjoerd van der Ende. Father Simon van der Ende started the company by growing freesias, but in 1990 he switched to amaryllis. The company is now specialised for mor than 30 years. From October to April they have a very wide range of 20 varieties, and Ende Flowers are very proud of that!

Sustainability is very important

Ende Flowers sort their amaryllises by length, stem thickness and number of flowers per stem. Amaryllis with 4 flowers or more are neatly packaged in their own box. It’s important to deliver a box that is nicely full, but with little chance of damaging the flowers.

Sustainability is of paramount importance at Van der Ende Flowers. They were one of the first Amaryllis growers to use a heat pump and use 1,000 solar panels to generate energy (heat from the ground) , which almost eliminates the need for gas. Ende Flowers source their Co2 from nearby industries, which makes it available as a residual product, thus helping to reduce Co2 emissions. For disease and pest control, they make maximum use of biological pest control, which is fully in line with the vision on sustainability for the future.
